single equality - training and consultancy

Most of the Equality Act 2010 came into force on 1 October 2010, with the Public Sector Equality Duty (General Duty) in force since 5 April 2011. The previous equality strands have been extended and rebranded ‘protected characteristics’, namely:

age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation.

The Act has introduced many key provisions to strengthen the law to support progress on equality. SETC will ensure your organisation is fully appraised of these changes and how you can effectively action them.

SETC’s principal trainer and consultant is Jack Moore . Diversity is a very wide area and encompasses specialist subjects such as hate crime and domestic abuse. SETC is very fortunate to have a small group of highly experienced associate trainers at hand.

Our aim is to reinvigorate the attitude and understanding of clients and delegates on equality and diversity.

Our approach is to work closely with the client on developing tailored strategy, policy and procedure, workable and effective equality analysis, and transferring this to managers and the frontline through proven, reliable, lively and interactive training sessions.

Our sincere wish is that our working relationship is not a one-off, but a long-term, productive and cost effective partnership.
